Best Generic Viagra (Sildenafil Citrate 100mg) - Anti-Impotence Medicine For Men

Sildenafil citrate is the active component of brand and generic Viagra, a popular medicine used to cure a male sexual dysfunction disorder called erectile dysfunction. Since its development and FDA approval in the year 1998, it is regarded as a first-line treatment of erectile dysfunction. Sildenafil citrate present in Generic Viagra is similar to its branded counterpart Viagra in active ingredient, dosage form, safety, strength, route of administration, quality, performance characteristics, and intended use. These similarities help to prove equivalent or similar action of both these medicines in the body, which means that it works in the same way as branded Viagra and provides the same clinical benefit.

Sildenafil Citrate Information

  • Active Compound

  • Severe Side Effects
  • Additional Info

Sildenafil Citrate is the active pharmaceutical component which is a first and prototype member of the family phosphodiesterase – type 5 inhibitors.Sildenafil citrate present in branded as well as generic Viagra, dissolves rapidly in the stomach when the tablet is consumed. After dissolving, sildenafil citrate enters the bloodstream rapidly and there it causes the blockade or inhibition of the enzyme phosphodiesterase – type 5. The major reason for ED is the restricted blood flow to the penile region which is a result of constriction of the blood vessels that supply the blood to the penis. This is done by the enzyme PDE-5. Blockade of PDE-5 leads to increase in the production of a biochemical called nitric oxide (NO) and an enzyme called guanylyl cyclase. Increased levels of guanylyl cyclase leads to an upsurge in the production of PDE-5 specific cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) which is a biochemical with potent vasodilator activity. It widens the blood vessels carrying the blood to the penis and thus, increases the blood flow to the penile region. Also, penile muscles relax under the influence of increased production of cGMP. This leads to enhance flow of blood to the penis and less amount of blood going out of the penis leading to long-lasting, hard and firm erection adequate for a satisfactory sexual intercourse.
