Tadalis Soft gel Capsule contains the active component Tadalafil, the third PDE-5 inhibitor which was approved by the FDA in the year 2003 for use in the effective and safe management of erectile dysfunction, benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH) or a combination of both. Tadalafil, after consumption of Tadalis Soft gel Capsule enters the blood rapidly where it inhibits the action of the enzyme phosphodiesterase 5. On blockade of the actions of PDE-5, the levels of the biochemicals nitric oxide and cGMP increases. This leads to expansion of the penile arteries and relaxation of the smooth muscle beneath the penile region leading to the enhance flow of the blood to the penis and retaining of the blood inside the penile region for the long periods, respectively so as to achieve and maintain a penile erection which is firm and long lasting.

For as needed use

• ED: Starting dose: 10mg as needed prior to sexual activity.
• Increase to 20mg or decrease to 5 mg based upon efficacy/tolerability.
• Improves erectile function compared to placebo up to 36 hours post dose.
• To be taken only once per day

For once daily use

• ED: 2.5mg taken once daily, without regard to timing of sexual activity. Dose may be increased to 5mg based upon efficacy and tolerability
• ED and BPH: 5mg, taken at about the same time every day
• Can be consumed with or without food.

Usage instructions

• To be swallowed as whole with water without crushing, chewing or splitting
• A gap of at least 30 hours between the two consequent doses of Tadalis soft gel capsule is compulsory.

Use in specific populations

• For patients with mild or moderate liver disease, doctor may recommend dosage reduction
• Not to be used in patients with severe liver disease
• In case of mild or moderate kidney damage, doctor may adjust the dose of Tadalis soft gel capsule
• For patients with severe kidney failure and those on hemodialysis, not more than 5 mg every 72 hours is recommended.
• Once daily use is not recommended in patients with severe kidney failure and hemodialysis patients.

• DO NOT USE when sex is risky due to heart diseases.
• Use of Tadalis with alpha-blockers, antihypertensives or considerable amounts of alcohol (five or more units) may lead to a severe decrease in blood pressure.
• TADALIS intake is not recommended with alpha-blockers because of the risk of blood pressure lowering. Caution is advised when this medicine is used as a treatment for ED in men on alpha-blockers.
• Patients should stop this medication and search for quick medical care in the incident of unexpected reduction or loss of hearing

Most common adverse reactions include headache, dyspepsia, back pain, muscle pain, nasal blocking, reddening, and pain in limbs.

• Get emergency medical help if allergic reaction to Tadalis soft gel capsule is observed
• Stop and get medical help in case of nausea, chest pain, or dizziness during sex. This could be a life-threatening side-effect.
• Discontinue this medicine and call your doctor in case of:

• A light-headed feeling
• Hurting erection that lasts longer than 4 hours (this can injure the penis)
• Vision alterations or unexpected vision loss which could be a sign of non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION)
• Tinnitus or sudden hearing loss
• Heart attack symptoms which include chest pain radiating to the left arm that is spreading to your jaw or shoulder, vomiting, sweating.

Which drugs cannot be taken with Tadalis soft gel capsule?

• Avoid medicines that contain
• Nitrates
• Alpha-blockers
• Antihypertensives
• Alcohol
• Ketoconazole
• Ritonavir
• Rifampin

What should be done in case of Overdose?

• Search for prompt medical attention or call the poison control center if fortuitous or purposeful overdose is supposed.

What if a dose of Tadalis soft gel capsule is missed?

• Since, this Tadalis soft gel capsule has to be taken on as needed basis, there is less possibility that you might miss a dose.
• If on a regular dosing schedule as prescribed by the doctor and if a dose of Tadalis soft gel capsule is missed, you should take it as soon as you recall.
• If time is close to the nest dose skip the missed dose and wait for the time for the next dose.
• Taking twofold dose in order to make up for missed dose is not at all suggested.
• A break of at least 30-hours should `be retained between two doses in order to avoid foremost side effects.
