Suhagra is a form of Generic Viagra which contains Sildenafil Citrate as the active ingredient. Sildenafil citrate was first approved by the FDA in the year 1998 for the treatment of ED in men.
Sildenafil Citrate present in Suhagra belongs to the pharmacological class of drug called PDE-5 inhibitors. It is the prototype medication and the main-line of treatment for ED in men. Sildenafil citrate present in it enters the bloodstream rapidly as soon as Suhagra tablet are consumed. It inhibits the enzyme PDE-5, a major enzyme lead leads to the restriction of the blood flow to the penis which is one of the major reason behind occurrence of ED. Inhibition of PDE-5 prevents it from exhibiting its actions and increases the levels of nitric oxide (NO) and guanylyl cyclase. The amplification in the levels of the enzymeguanylyl cyclase then causes an upsurge in the levels of cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) which is a strong vasodilator created in the body close to the penile region. The enzyme cGMP widens and expands the blood vessels that supply the blood to the penis and also relaxes the muscles beneath the penis. This leads to improvement of the blood circulation in the penis and more blood flows inside the penis and less blood flows out of the penis leading to firm and long lasting penile erection.
