Tadalis Soft tabs contains Tadalafil as the active component. Tadalafil is an FDA approved medicine for the treatment of erectile dysfunction in men. It was approved for human use by FDA in the year 2003 and is the third member of the class phosphodiesterase-5 inhibitors. Tadalafil has the same mechanism of action as the other previous 2 members of PDE-5 inhibitor family i.e. Sildenafil and Vardenafil. After rapid absorption, Tadalafil present in the Tadalis soft tabs rapidly enters the bloodstream where is inhibits the action of the bioenzyme called cGMP specific phosphodiesterase type-5. This action leads to the augmentation in the blood concentrations of biochemicals like nitric oxide and guanylyl cyclase. Increase in the levels of guanylyl cyclase enzyme increases the bioproduction of cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP), a cyclic nucleotidepresent in the body. This biochemical cGMP is a powerful vasodilator and widens the penile arteries and enhances the flow of the blood to the penis and surrounding areas so that a penile erection which is hard and firm is achieved and is maintained for a long period of time so as to indulge in a satisfactory sexual intercourse.
